You can even get text-cursors for drawing and pencils for positioning text if you disable cursor updating the right time. So this isn't what we really wanted. Aha, I found out how to do it. its already implemented, go into preferences:interface. then hit "disable cursor update." now the cursor stays as a crosshair the whole time :) tef

changing cursors?
I was wondering if its possible to change the way the cursor looks for different tools. i find that pencil extremely annoying, bloakcs what I'm drawing. thanks tef
