I too like "The Children on the Top Floor". I also like "Tennis Shoes". I love the way Annie spurs Nicky on despite everyone else's mediocrity. I didn't enjoy "When the Siren Wailed" but I read it when my age was still in single figures, so I can't remember why I didn't like it. I don't think I understood much of it, to be frank.
