I have made myself a boilerplate app and have uploaded it to github.

I forgot to ignore .git folder as I don't want the versioning to go with it.

I have now added it to my .gitignore but when I clone the app down from 
github the .git folder is downloaded. I can't see it in github cause its a 
hidden folder.

How can I delete the .git folder from my repo. I tried rm etc but it cannot 
see the folder
