Hi all,

As far as I know, git has a poor support for shared tags in the sense that
it is not easy to know if a tag in your repository is shared with origin or
not.

It would be very handful if tags were treated somehow in the same way
branches are treated, indicating whether your tags are local, from remote,
synced or not. In order word, I think that tags should have a remote
counterpart in the local repository.

Is there any fundamental reason to do not implement such scheme in git?

If not, would it be possible to have this implemented in git?

Regards,
Luiz
