To make digesting this information easier just study the patches
posted to the main Git list [3] -- look for messages which have "[PATCH]"
string in their subjects.

Note that any patches should be sent to the main Git list (where Git 
development is being discussed), not this (which is dedicated to helping Git 
newbies). See [1] for more info.
