But then I get stuck on the next set of instructions:

Apparently there is no official package for RHEL5
install-linux64-apt.sh
No package git available.
yum install git:
No package git available.
$ apt-get install git
bash: apt-get: command not found

Installing Git is a matter of telling
# apt-get install git
That's all I need to do to get a working Git on my system.
