I think that you should uninstall it and then run the installer under
an administrator account by right-clicking it and choosing the
"Run as administrator..." option.

IOW, it seems you've managed to install Git as an unprivileged user.
It's fine in some circumstances but looks like not what you want.

Hello,

I use GIT a long time and I updated now from 1.9.x to 2.6.x.
I noticed that IntelliJ doesn't find my git.exe anymore.
Now I found it in AppData.

Why is it there?
Can I *move it back* to Program Files?
