Gitorious was working fine when suddenly (after few server restarts) when I
try to create repositories, the webpage loads for some 10 seconds and gives
a 500 internal server error in the title bar of the page.
I tried running /var/www/gitorious/control-scripts/poller.sh status and I
got
A server restart fixed the issue. Any idea why it happens? Memory
utilization was low. I had 3GB free when the problem occurred.

makes sense! So based on what you said, I've been plunging into trying to get
'next' to run today, and as I (hopefully) make progress, I'll be reporting /
asking about any problems I encounter. With the caveat that I'm not a ruby guy,
so some things may be very obvious to everybody
