when compiling dht-common.c with clang (on mac, but I dont think that matters)
some warnings seem to reveal an error:

I was not able to compile the release 3.6 branch directly due to the missing
support for asm .symver.
I now do have manual changes that makes it compile, but I was wonder if there
is a know trick to emulate the .symver generation on platforms that doesnt
support it?
