Hi.
I'd like to know, how I can increase number of replicas in replicated volume
using glusterd, on the fly. I haven't managed to do this using existing
commands. For example:
- there is replicated volume with 2 nodes and i need to add 3rd replica
- or there is one-node volume and i need to
This is -very- helpful.
So, if I understand you properly, I should focus on scaling -inside-
my EBS devices first.
What I should really do is create a gluster volume that starts with
-lots- of 125 gb EBS device (in my case, 32 to achieve 2 TB of usable
replicated storage). I should rsync -a to
Can you send your 3.1 config? and steps?

Hello all,

Anyone know where the documentation on the switches for /usr/sbin/gluster
is? I remember seeing them during beta, but I can not find them now. I am
trying to have gluster log to somewhere besides /dev/stderr

Hi all:
I'm trying to setup an NFS export using GlusterFS 3.1. I have setup a
replicated volume using the gluster CLI as follows:
Volume Name: share
Type: Replicate
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 5
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: gluster01:/export/share
Brick2: gluster02:/export/share

4 storage servers (bricks in 3.1) are required because there is no real benefit
to stripe with less than 4 bricks on 4 storage servers. There is no parity with
stripe, it is very much like RAID 0, data loss is incurred if any brick fails.
We have significantly expanded the

Gluster isn't supported on 32bit hardware. I would suggest you use NFS to
attach your 32 bit clients.
Thanks,

Regarding this pdf, only the portions which show mount commands and the FAQ

volume started with the volume start command.
So basically you're
