We are currently using gluster with 3 bricks. We just
rebooted one of the bricks (mseas-data, also identified
as gluster-data) which is actually the main server. After
rebooting this brick, our client machine (mseas) only sees
the files on the other 2 bricks. Note that if I mount

I have create a 2 node replicated cluster with GlusterFS 3.4.1 on Centos 6.4.
Mounting the volume locally on each server using native client works fine,
however I am having issues with a separate client only server that I wish to
use NFS to mount the gluster server volume.

I'm trying to get glusterd to shutdown cleanly on a server. I'm running 3.4.1-3.
I fixed an issue in /etc/init.d/glusterd with RETVAL in the stop() function
(apparently also fixed upstream).
I now have one remaining issue: the nfs server does not shut down:

This is along the lines of "tools for sysadmins". I plan on using
these algorithms for puppet-gluster, but will try to maintain them
separately as a standalone tool.
The problem: Given a set of bricks and servers, if they have a logical
naming convention, can an algorithm decide the ideal ord

1)create the volume
gluster volume create vol1 123.224.178.67:/buildarea2
123.224.178.67:/buildarea3

To start self-healing data execute : "gluster volume heal datastore1
full" .
To monitor self-heal completion status exeucte : "gluster volume heal
datastore1 info". The number of entries under each brick should be 0.
When the number of entries count becomes 0 the self-heal is completed.
