Hi,
oVirt Hyperconverged disaster recovery uses georeplication to replicate the
volume containing the VMs.
What I know about georeplication is that it is an asynchronous replication.
My questions are :
- How the replication of the VMs is done, are only the changes synchronized?
- What is the

Hi,
I am a newbie, I am implementing an Alfresco solution with 3 servers all in
active mode
I want to use glusterfs as storage for the 3 servers, to store the index
and documents.
from what I have read, glusterfs do manage concurrent access to files.
I want to be sure of that

Hi, and thanks for your replies.
For Kotresh : No, I am not using tar ssh for my geo-replication.
For Aravinda: I had to recreate my slave volume all over et restart the

Hi again,
geo-replication.indexing cannot be made off without deleting the

I don't know else what to do, beside recreating again my slave volume.

I have two gluster servers in replicated mode as MASTERS

I've updated my glusterfs installation to 3.7.0-2, all three servers
I've recreated my slave volumes

Hi,
I am a new user of GlusterFS.
It turns out, geo-replication needs more ports, for my test I opened only
ssh in the beginning, with two volumes geo-replicated I ended up with all
these ports opened:
state NEW tcp dpt:ssh
state NEW tcp dpt:24007
state NEW tcp dpt:49152

Hi,
I need some explanations about:
1 - checkpoints in geo-replication: what is the meaning/purpose of them?
when shall we use them?
2 - ignore-deletes : the default value is true, which means if I am not
wrong : do not delete files on slave, which have been deleted on master :-)
I wanted to
have (by some reason) to use containers.. what are the
mount options for your openvz mount ? Have you tried to tune them (like
enable direct io mode etc). There are a lot of options available to make
gusterfs faster under linux.

Hi all,
We made a setup of 3 Glusterfs nodes for one of our clients, two master

The GlusterFS storage is used with Proxmox hypervisors.

Hi,
I've been reading the latest RedHat documentation about GlusterFS, the
Admin guide, I read that the three way-replication is only supported on
JBOD configuration.
1) Is it wise to use JBOD? is the probability of disk failure is too low
that we can use it without using RAID?
2) What are the
Hi,
Please I need some advice.
We have two iSCSI disk arrays, the first with 16 (2.5) disks, 600Go SAS

is it wise to configure GlusterFS replicated volumes upon arrays with
different speed?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'am testing the geo-replication with glusterfs 3.6 on centos7x64
my question is: when creating the geo-replication, should the master volume be
empty at the beginning?
In my configuration only new files/dirs (created after the geo-replication has
been started) are synchronized, the old
dir/files on the master volume were not synced, only new
ones.and no, the slave was empty at the beginning of the test.

I did some testing, using Redhat Documentation. They use thin LVM with XFS on

I have two questions about adding more space to a volume.
Adding space can be done by adding a new brick (distributed configuration), but
it could also be done by adding
