Dear Xavi,
How is the data fragmented ? what if a file size is more than the
fragment size? Can a fragment have data corresponding to 2 or more files ?
How the data is accessed basically ( file open ?) ? What is a

Thank you for explaining me how the symbolic linking works in the the

That would be great thank you. For me it is not an option to delete the volume
on my master node (2 nodes, 1 brick per node). On the other hand no problem to
delete the volume on the slave node which is only used for geo-rep.

We can provide workaround steps to resync from beginning without
deleting Volume(s).
I will send the Session reset details by tomorrow.

ML,
Since the fixes to geo-rep are yet to get into a release,
I can only suggest you to be a bit patient.
Also, since you are using logrotate to rotate logs, you
will most likely get into the "No such file or directory"
or "Device or resource busy" scenario on the slave again.
I'm not saying
Hi,
I have a block device at /dev/blkdev. Does Gluster have some kind of
function to mount it on this block device?
Kind regards

Thanks Milind again for your help. I understand now the concept and managed to
set the required attribute for forcing the resyncing. That worked but
unfortunately it is a never ending story, I fix stuff, start geo-rep it goes
for a few more files and fails again.
Now I think it will be easier
Hi,
glustertool project is moved to https://github.com/gluster/glustertool
(Initially aravindavk/glustertool). Please send pull requests to the new
location.
Changes:
- Added spec file to generate RPM
- Added new tool "dirgfid2path" to find path of directory if we
know GFID.
Added
1. You could use the script at
https://gist.github.com/aravindavk/afb16813261794faa432
to create a path from the gfid that you could cd to
i.e. for gfid c4b19f1c-cc18-4727-87a4-18de8fe0089e
2. yes, you have to recursively set the virtual xattr
on all entries in the directory tree
hi abhishek,
i need to look further why are you falling in this situation. file name and
uuid in /var/lib/glusterd/peers should be same. each file in

Would you be able to join #gluster channel on freenode to discuss about
this issue further?
Can you please paste the output of gluster peer status from both the
nodes along with the output of following from both the nodes?
ls -lrt /var/lib/glusterd/peers/; cat /var/lib/glusterd/peers/*

Hi all,
After replacing a brick in a disperse volume(2+1) with I/O running, I/O
works well but healing won't complete.
'gluster volume heal info' always shows that file with I/O running is still
healing.
