Nope, gluster is the destination for distcp command. hadoop distcp -m

This run maps on datanodes which have /mnt/gluster mounted on all of them.

No, you don't need to build gluster rpms (unless you want to.)
nfs-ganeha-2.3.2 should work just fine with 3.7.11.

that one node couldn't reach its time server, and is now about 80 sec
behind the other node.
I'm a bit afraid of running a ntpdate to force the clock back on sync,
