Hi Amar,
sorry to jump into this thread with an connected question.
When installing via "apt-get" and so using debian packages and also
systemd to start/stop glusterd is the online upgrade process from
3.x/4.x to 5.x still needed as described at
https://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Upgrade-Guide/up
understanding.
Thank you for your opinion and/or facts :-)

Hi All,
I had a replica 2 cluster to host my VM images from my Proxmox cluster.
I got a bit around split brain scenarios by using "nufa" to make sure
the files are located on the host where the machine also runs normally.
So in fact one replica could fail and I still had the VM working.
But then
and I could start a rebalance with
force, but this also did nothing. Ended after max1 second and moved nothing.
Can someone please advice how to do it right?
An other idea was to enable nufa and kind of "re-copy" the files on the
glusterfs, but here it seems that the documentati
Hi,
I have setup a glusterfs volume gv0 as distributed/replicated:

Hi All,

Hi,
in former releases like 9.x there was alwys a "major issues" section in
the release notes like
https://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/release-notes/9.0/#major-issues
8especially in ".0" releases. Should this not be added to such a section
in the 10.0 release notes to inform users that want to
Hi,
while checking some stuff on my glusterfs cluster I noticed on some
machines that glustereventsd took 2-5GB of RAM! On some other nodes it
used near to no RAM.
In fact there are no webhooks registered at all when I call the status
command ... So whats that thing doing and why it is eatin
you don't use it - just disable it.
Such memory usage indicates memory leak, so it's worth tesring on latest
Gluster version and opening a github issue if persists.

Hi,
I‘m using Proxmox with GlusterFs and qcow2 since some years now without bigger
issues.
The only thing I needed to tweak was the mounting because else it had issues on
reboot. You need to turn off the glusterfssharedstorage.service else it is
uncounted too early on node shutdown which migh
