If you connect to your Gmail using Thunderbird with IMAP, you can then
right-click>Save As to save the email into a .eml file. This is essentially
the raw, original email source contained in a text file.

Firefox in a long time, but since they copy all the good stuff Google does,
they should have it as well. IE might be limited to the options you saw.

At the moment, I just need to print a single long email. Printing to PDF
would be fine, and I looked that up, but the option doesn't seem to be
present when I click the little "print all" icon at upper right of the
email. The only choice I get is to print to my own printer or to a

In Chrome:
Pulldown menu -> Print (or use the "Print All" icon)
Next to Destination, click "Change..." button.
