Why would the customer ports be specified as VLAN trunk ports? That's not how you'd typically set it up. The port setup as the trunk port is the one going to the router, not the customer ports. The "bleeding" is happening between some vlan'd and nonvlan'd ports.

I figured it out with the help from a friend at Nortel (HAH). Please let me know if this makes sense. Not all customer on the switch are on a vlan. So customers not on a vlan are dumping traffic onto customers with a vlan via the trunk port (to the router). The fix is to put EVERY customer on a

Hello, we're having an odd issue with on of our cisco switches. It's showing the same traffic (via MRTG/RRDTool graphs) for different ports. It seems like traffic is "bleeding" from one port to another. It's not broadcast traffic because it's not on EVERY port. It even seems to be happening acro

You might be able to fix this with the Win2K CD. I know that with XP's, you can boot to the recovery console and run "fixmbr"; ISTR that you can do the same with Win2k's CD ... maybe not, but it's worth a try. I forgot to mention, I do not have the Win2k CD ___
