Well, I waited a week. Kernel 2.6.9 was released. It works fine. I have had no networking issues with it what so ever. I had to get a patched version of the NVidia driver, since their "Official" driver won't compile due to a change in vmalloc (http://ngc891.blogdns.net/index.php? 2004/09/21/3-patched-nvidia-drivers).
