Coolness! Now we'll have to see about getting the thing running some software. :)
The net manager now knows about this but wants to know how its configured for the rack (2 post or otherwise). I guess that's a question for Ben.
Right now, it's not configured for anything -- just a chassis with mounting holes. I'll have to find or buy brackets for it (I might actually have them somewhere in my junk collection). According to TFM, it can mount in a 2-post rack, mid-mount or front-mount, or in a 4-post rack with rails. Since we're getting the space free, I'd say we ask what they prefer and I'll give them that.
It's an Intel SRMK2, for those interested. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/srmk2/
Details will have to wait until I return after Oct 9. You may have to remind me then (this trip is the training, initial-delivery phase and I'm likely to be a little "core fried/brain dumped" on my return).
I know the feeling. I just got back from a vacation and the ensuing week of "catch up" at work. Good luck with your deployment!
