on the page?

If is same situation like in Ubuntu, you can switch to root by running
sudo -s or sudo

To permanently enable root login to gnome under Debian, edit the
/etc/gdm/gdm.conf file.
In the [security] section of the file, add the following line:
AllowRoot=True
After doing this, you need to reboot or just restart the gdm for the change
to take effect.

It doesn't matter if you get a *.tar.gz or a *tar.bz2 package as you can
easily uncompress them both with tar. However, the bz2 package is better
compressed, smaller, so if you are on dialup it makes it easier to grab.

For Ubuntu 6.06, you need to set GTK_MODULES to empty before starting
Firefox (1.5.0.x).
Like this,

Or you can download firefox 2.0 beta.
I think currently firefox doesn't work well with gnopernicus flat
review
