I build my whole stack to the prefix /tmp/OpenOSX, and then at run
time I resolve the location the app is installed to, then create a
symbolic link to /tmp/OpenOSX.
This trick allows it to be installed anywhere, and works great...

_mark_split /path/to/lib
(if split is installed somewhere else grep there)
Once you find a candidate run nm on it to see if it is defined:
nm /path/to/lib/lib.dylib | grep _mark_split
If you have a 'U' (and no address) then the symbol is not actually
defined...

Just got 2.2.1 built here on Mac OS X and working (thanks David)!
I can't locate the Quicken import druid; both in the menu or with
command-I. I do have an export...
Did this get moved somewhere for 2.2? I checked the docs, but they
seem to cover 2.0..
