Perhaps you need to check out mounting network drives in Ubuntu - search
for mount network drive in ubuntu for lots of answers.
Once you have it mounted you should be able to run GnuCash on Ubuntu and

I think the problem is you're not having finance-quote ask for a time.
While gnucash doesn't display it, the program does attempt to construct
a full valid timestamp. If gnucash can't get it, the quote is rejected.

that your problem is a version mismatch
and aqbanking3's problems with ofxdirectconnect inside gnucash.
aqbanking3 support has been added to gnucash trunk. But it doesn't yet work
correctly for ofxdirectconnect retrievals.

But the error you're getting makes no sense to me... It's trying
to install libraries
I believe the problem described in Bugzilla 327630 is caused by a
missing function (gnc:html-document-set-style!) in both the fancy
and easy stylesheets. Cutting and pasting the function from plan
stylesheet seems to resolve the issue.
