I have too many VMs. It was a different VM that has Ubuntu 16.04 and GnuCash release 2.6.12 with Finance::Quote 1.47 that is currently the only instance here that can download security prices for US stocks through AlpaVantage. That instance cannot retrieve any of the 5 currencies that I like to

Not sure what is happening at my house(wrt GnuCash). Release 2.6.19 with finance-quote 1.47 in Windows was able to retrieve the US securities in my portfolio via AlphaVantage earlier this year but now it cannot retrieve anything. Release 2.6.17 (backport?) in Ubuntu 16.04 with finance::quote

I've tried making a copy of the account and deleting hundreds (or thousands) of transactions. This didn't make much difference (though just now one of the two currency requests seemed to succeed). Immediately afterwards, though, the same "Get Quotes" reverted to its standard error message. Is
