Hi sorry for all this hastle. I am trying to setup a simple money in and out system for a non profit scout group. We have a Bank account with all money in it. If we were holding a camp say, then Camp out would be the money spent on food and expenses for the camp and Camp In would be Money

Morning David Wow what an explanation brilliant. No i don't have the sub-accounts under assets. I only have a bank account then all the other accounts as top level as well. Will read through your stuff and change the levels. Is the basic cheque account the best one to start off with and just

Hi Sorry for the bother. My exact method was. 1. Create a new company 2. Create a New Main Bank account. 3. Create all the sub accounts ie Camps in Camps out etc 4. Import the transactions csv file. 5. Map using date for date. Account for type ie Camps in Camps out, Description and deposit

Ok story so far. Managed to import the file but when checking the transactions I have 4 entries for each one 4 incomes and 4 charges. Set the transfer account setting to account date etc ok. When i go to the next stage everything is green but then all as mentioned at the start. Back to dear old
