I had a similar issue a few days ago. Unfortunately, I don't know what I
did to get out of it. I found I could highlight characters but backspace
and delete would not work. (I could replace them however) Not even all
numerical keys worked either. I don't think the account name was

Nope, works as expected on Ubuntu 21.10 using the latest 4.8 flatpak
version and also on macOS. Haven't noticed anything amiss on Win7, Win10
either. If I enter an invalid account I can still backspace, click the
down arrow, use Escape, etc.
