Some OSes have the option to secondary-click and choose 'move to *this*
desktop/workspace'. I don't know if Win10 has this or not.

Are you on a laptop sometimes attached to an external display? Maybe the
windows are opening outside of your screen. I get this often, even with
Microsoft applications.
