So, I went back to bug 645273, and I'd have to say that it describes a different problem altogether. That problem dealt with reports not rendering in Windows. The implication in all of the comments there is that program was functioning but not producing data. That's different from the program

Probably stupid question – is there a way to set rules on the gnucash-user account? Ie anytime someone sends an email that starts with “Re gnucash-user Digest”, the system rejects their email with a response along the lines of “Please do not reply to the digest without changing the subject

doncram, Actually, if you look carefully at the bottom of the splash screen (if you have not disabled it) when the program is loading, there is a message there. That will show when processing reports that were left open when the file was last closed. As for opening new reports, I cannot comment

David, According Quicken online help you can still export to QIF format per https://www.quicken.com/support/how-do-i-export-data-quicken. GnuCash can import from that format. If you have several years' data I suggest testing and planning, and testing more. Then expect to do one account at a
