Dale, You may have to double click in the transfer account field. Try right clicking on the transaction and see if that works. That should also bring up the dialog for selecting the transfer account I have noticed in a few recent versions (4.10 -4.12) that there have been some problems with

I don't know specifically other than there are some issues with 'libraries' on some systems. I've used the SQLite back-end on Linux and currently use it on Mac with no effort. Windows takes some work regardless of choice if I understand correctly. However, if you already have MySQL installed,

Hi, I am using MacBook Pro (M1 2020), and the application constantly crashes whenever I try to import transactions from .csv files. The trace file inside $TMPDIR/gnucash.trace is also empty. I am not sure what other input I can provide. Best, Sabarish.

Upgrading to 4.13 changed the behavior. With "A" selected: Double click still does nothing. Right click raises a menu with first choice "Assign a transfer account to the selection" but selecting that does nothing. The second choice "Edit description, notes or memo" does open an edit window. Dale

GnuCash doesn't have the ability as of yet to combine Customer/Vendor accounts. The best option I can think of is to create them both as separate entities (customer & vendor) and handle them separately. Where you have cross-over in credits/payments, you'd need to set up an intermediary
