I’m not sure how you’re ending up with negative, red, amounts in your registers.
Entering a negative in either the debit or credit column will simply swap it to
the other column as a positive when you tab through or commit the transaction.
And it will appear this way when viewing the
Hi Adrian,
What I suggested was negative credits.
I have sometimes accidentally ended up with similar situations when I have made
a mistake with a complex split. With my current setup, the negative amounts
show up in red with a minus sign.
However, if other vacation expenses were not also
Is there a reason not to use the latest v3.8?
I’d try that and see if you still get a crash.
If so, check the wiki about obtaining the necessary logs on the Windows
platform for reporting a crash on Bugzilla.

I am trying to enter data for a refi. I go to Actions>Scheduled

You have hit the nail on the head, uninstalled flatpak & installed full
version. Now able to get online quotes. Had to modify ASX.pm file as I am in
Australia & I believe I saw a post re this recently. Thanks very much for
your input.

children.
I’ve found that using them as placeholders is much saner in the long run when
you are trying to figure out what you did many moons ago. It also makes it

You’d 1 or more debits to balance that $100 in credits.
What you’re describing here is using accounts ‘virtually’ for tracking purposes.

Set up other expense accounts for
Vacation fuel
Vacation accommodation
Vacation flights
Vacation entertainment

I had a similar question a while back and the solution was to use

Expenses:Vehicle:Gasoline
Expenses:Vehicle:Gasoline:Vacation
Then make sure that E:V:G is not a placeholder account so you can enter
transactions
