Kalpesh, c:\temp doesn't usually exist on Windows. The default path for tracefiles is C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Temp (see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Tracefile#Windows). That location is set by a system call that's been unchanged forever, though (as noted on that wiki page) *Microsoft*

There might be a bug on Windows platform for specification to --logto=\path\to\file option to GNC v4.14 binary. I see that the actual file created is c:\temp\gnc_debug.txt..log when I specify c:\temp\gnc_debug.txt as the parameter. I'll check on the latest v5 release and log a bug if that

I run Gnucash on my Chromebook using Linux when I am traveling and it is a real pain. For me, there are two challenges. The first is that if you are not skilled in Linux it is a constant effort to keep the Linux apps updated. Next, the Linux side is slow and uses a lot of system resources.
