Dear All GC friends,

Dear Friends, How does one close the file for one financial year and open a
new one with the same account tree for the next financial year.
I am not sure where in the manual these things will be covered. I managed to
export my account tree but don’t know how to turn around and import it in a

opened a new file for a new year by exporting the account tree and started with

Thanks for help!

I have entered the date twice thinking I have made some kind of error, but no
matter what I do, this blue line is there and it is not supposed to be.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Many thanks to you all - I LOVE Gnucash!

Dear Gnucash folks,
I would very much appreciate help to know why the eguile report does not list
my sub-accounts in alphabetical order under each parent account.
For example, I have the checking account with sub-accounts
debit card
earmarked International Fund
earmarked National Fund
receive the same as the attached
screenshot.
For sure, I do not know what I did to deserve this!

Dear all you GnuCash geniuses,
I had a GnuCash crash and suddenly I tried to reopen the file and it gave me
the option to quit, or open anyway, and I quickly and without thinking or
knowing any better, clicked ‘open anyway’ and that was the end of my life as we
know it.

Dear Gnucash people,
I have tried unsuccessfully nearly 20 times to export the account tree from

Do I have to close the book??? I do not want to do that.
I just want a new account and I have created it, but not able to import the

to know that I did the right things and could not change the report title for
the General Journal. However, I did not know it was a bug so I didn’t report
it as such. Thanks everyone for your attention to this and
