OK, so I have been using GnuCash 3.0 on Ubuntu for a couple weeks now and am broadly satisfied with it. I built it and it works. However, there's one thing I cannot figure out. Where is the "launcher" for GNUCash and/or how do I build that. As of now I have to navigate to the bin subdirectory

Ok, I suppose. I would have EXPECTED a release to be built from the master branch. I don't understand why git clone https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash.git is tied to the unstable branch - but if it is, then it makes sense that you would want to reverse merge it down. Why do you do it

My bad, I forgot what I did! I didn't build from the tarball. I built what I got from doing git clone https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash.git which somehow brought down the unstable branch. Now I actually built from the tarball and got 3.0. Sorry for this noob error. On 04/08/2018
