Sort-of.
Excel's number system, and thus Gnumeric's (and LO's, etc), know
nothing about complex numbers. They are bolted on sideways as
strings, lots of duct tape involved. There is no support for
rounding-for-purposes of display.

I'm working with complex numbers, and can't find how to limit the resolution.
It's
entirely unpractical as it is, as both the real and imaginary parts are shown
with
the full float numbers, and +/- nr digits or cell formatting don't seem to have
any influence.
The solution shown
as a general philosopy I'd think: UI-use and data exchange -> mimic Excel and Calc, questionable calculations / wrong results / truncated precision / faking -> don't.
