I think that you could substitute some of the packages from
Elatte/Dapper. (NCP 1.0).

Two apt-get/dpkg options could be especially helpful here:

apt-get --reinstall install ...

dpkg --force-all ...

But long term - we need to add missing packages to the NCP 2.0
repository..
