Briefly, I have added code for run-time lookup of the default locale
directory
A new port of libintl is now at the top of the todo list, and in the course
of the porting I will also try to solve the putenv problem.
I expect a first release to be ready within the next 10 days,
but I'm afraid I cannot make definite commitments.
