Excellent idea! Continue the good work.

[go-cd] ThoughtWorks news and GoCD

2017-08-23 Thread Aravind SV
Hello everyone,

Some of you might have heard that ThoughtWorks has been acquired by Apax
Partners. If you'd like to read more about the acquisition, this post by
Martin Fowler has
interesting context about this news.

For the GoCD core team there will be no change. ThoughtWorks is committed
to building the best open source continuous delivery tool there is. We will
continue to innovate by building on thought leadership and feedback from
this community. In fact, now seems like a great time to share what's coming
next with GoCD.

We recently reached out to some of you to understand your CD processes with
some of the newer deployment ecosystems and have some exciting ideas to
make GoCD more cloud native with better support for container
orchestrators. We will start this journey with better support for
Kubernetes and the Docker workflow. Please watch out for more information
about these updates soon. As usual, we want everyone to participate with
your ideas and feedback.

Thank you,
Aravind (on behalf of the GoCD team)

When you file an issue, make sure to provide a copy of the snippet from
your config file that sets up LDAP (with sensitive information redacted),
and any other relevant details (LDAP implementation, version etc)

Would you mind logging an issue on github? We've moved to a new LDAP plugin
and that could be the root cause. Someone can let you know the steps to
rollback to the old LDAP implementation on the current version of LDAP on
the github issue.

[go-cd] Go Session Timing out after 30 minutes after upgrading to 17.8

2017-08-23 Thread james . hanna
I've googled this one quite a bit, and as far as I can tell the software is
still supposed to be set to 14 days for session timeouts. Is this still
accurate?
Because after upgrading from 17.2 to 17.8 login sessions timeout after 30
minutes.
Did this change? and have they added a way to modify this setting yet?

Thanks.
