The Goa Vipassana Samiti (GVS) is organising a 10-day meditation
course from the 20-31 May 2006, at Dhammalaya, a full-fledged
and well appointed Vipassana Meditation centre in nearby
Kolhapur.
Public bus transport to and from Kolhapur will be organised by
GVS from Panjim and Mapusa. While the course itself is totally
free, participants are expected to meet travel costs.
Vipassana is a simple practice to maintain regular mental
hygiene, by cleaning out the stress and tension, toxins and
garbage that is daily generated in ones mind. This practical,
purifying technique is also totally rational, scientific and
secular. It is not part of any organised religion or sect and
can be practised by people of all faiths and backgrounds.

group-sittings at different places. There is a 1-day course
conducted by an Asst. Teacher every first Sunday, at Apurbai
Clinic, S1-101, Nova Cidade, Alto Porvorim, from 9.30 am to 4-30
pm.
