This documentary film was put together by Isabel S.R. Vas and Cecil Pinto to pay tribute to a great Goan. The year 2006 marks the 250th birth anniversary of Jose Custodio Faria, a remarkable son of Goa who is widely regarded as the Father of Hypnotism. The documentary introduces the viewer to some of the history and achievements of the Abbe. It is the fruit of a fascinating, if at times frustrating, search. Researchers and enthusiasts, documents and monuments have found place on this road map. Isabel and Cecil hope it will beckon other creative minds to further celebrate the pioneering hypnotist.

The screening of this documentary film will be preceded by a brief talk titled
"Do we remember the Goan diaspora?"
by Dr. Celsa Pinto, Director of Education, Government of Goa; noted historian, researcher and author.
