Asian volleyball: India beat Taipei

Chennai, Sep 22: India have enhanced their chances of qualifying to the second phase as they won their second successive match beating Chinese Taipei 3-0 in the 13th Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship, being held in Thailand.

According to a press release by the Volleyball Federation of India, India, who defeated Bahrain (3-0) yesterday defeated Chinese Taipei today at 25-23, 26-24, 25-15 thanks mainly to the good work by Rajiv and Kapil Dev displaying their excellent blocking abilities.

India will play last year's runner-up, China in their third and crucial match tomorrow before taking on Vietnam in their last match.
