BJP warns of agitations against cabaret dances in hotels Pondicherry | February 15, 2006 8:50:30 PM IST Former BJP state President A M Krishnamurthy MLA today charged that the Pondicherry administration had failed to properly represent the cabaret dance case and had enacted a drama in view of the forthcoming assembly elections. In a statement here, Mr Krishnamurthy charged that cabaret dances were being performed in hotels under the guise of Indian traditional dances. The government, while cancelling the licence of two hotels, granted to two other hotels licences to resulting in the affected moving the court and getting permission to conduct the dances. However, cabaret dances were being performed in the hotels, he charged. Mr Krishnamurthy said the BJP women's wing would organise agitations in front of the hotels conducting caberet dances.
