Please kindly be informed that there is an enforcement which allows
people travelling by charter flight to Goa to remain for a maximum of
4 weeks. The doggy deals offered by some unscrupulous agents has been
unearthed.

I have come to know through a friend who complained about being
charged (bribe taken) by customs and immigration personnel in Goa to
facilitate, without hindrance the onward departure of persons who
stayed for more than 4 weeks.

On his return he complained to the Air Carrier. The Air Carrier was
surprised that he went out on Excel and returned on Monarch. Monarch
informed the man that this practice was illegal and had they known
about it, he would not have been allowed to board. His complaint was
not entertained. I asked him to complain directly to the agent who
sold him the ticket. After prolonged back and forth correspondence and
a final threat of going to Court the Agent paid up the bribe incurred
by the passenger.

So now you know the score please make sure that if you want to travel
to Goa and stay for longer than 4 weeks the only way to do so is by a
non charter carrier.

I travelled by Jet Airways from London to Bombay and onwards to Goa.
The service was really good and the food on the London to Bombay
sector was scrumptious, prepared by Bombay brasserie of London.
