Rosary Ferns' 20th Tiatro in Kuwait.
Well known Kuwait based Goan playwright and songster Rosary Ferns is all
set to stage his 20th Tiatro in Kuwait on 11th August 2006 at Hawally A/C
Hall, starting at 4.00 p.m. This is 10th Tiatro of Rosary Ferns in Kuwait
itself. This Tiatro is going to be staged under the auspices of KUWAIT GOAN
ASSOCIATION. The title of the Tiatro is:
GHOR BHANDLEM, GHORABO MODDLO.
To participate in this Tiatro the one and only Tragedy Queen of Konkani
Stage OPHELIA CABRAL will especially fly to Kuwait and will perform a very
tragic role which surely will bring tears into the eyes of the audience.
Speaking to this writer over phone from Bombay, Ophelia said "she is all
excited to perform in Kuwait" where her fans and admirers are anxiously
waiting to see her in action. Further she said "she will perform on Konkani
stage till her last breadth allows her to do so".
While Ophelia doing her tragic role, her young and beautiful daughter Babli
also participating in this Tiatro will mesmerize the audience with her
beautiful looks and actions. This will be the second visit of Ophelia and
Babli to Kuwait since both of them came to Kuwait in 1987 incidentally to
perform in the Tiatro staged by Rosary Ferns only.
After the Tiatro, in a specially arranged function, Ophelia Cabral will be
felicitated and honoured by her fans and admirers on behalf of Konkani
Heritage Kuwait.
The other visiting artistes coming to perform in this Tiatro are Antonette
de Calangute, John de Silva and William de Curtorim.
The local artistes are Marcos Vaz, Sylvester Vaz, Laurente Pereira, Comedian
Philip, Simon Gonsalves, Zoro, Manuel de Santa Cruz, Xavier Furtado, Bab
Agnelo, Sanny de Quepem, Margareth DCruz, Clara Rod, Alex de Consua, Pal
Soares and Rosary Ferns.
Musical score will be provided by Philiph, Dennis, Faustino, Agnelo, Filip
and Rabindra DPietro.
