DUBAI: Siolim United beat St Estevam 2-0 while St Anthony Pernem held Morjim to a 1-1 draw in the second round matches of the Pehla Cup all Goa inter-village football tournament played at the Irani Club. St Estevam is the first team to bow out following their second loss while Siolim's victory have put them in contention for the quarter-final spot along with Vanxim-Divar and Chinchinim in Group A. Raju Satardekar netted both the goals for Siolim United. Clive Rodrigues scored for Morjim while Jude D'Souza equalised for Pernem in the second match. Vanxim Divar need a victory over Siolim United on Oct. 31 to advance while a draw will put Siolim into quarters if Chinchinim get the better of St Estevam the following day. Loutolim have already advanced with six points from Group B. A victory or a draw against Morjim on Oct. 31 will put Benaulim through with Loutolim enjoying the luxury of even losing to Pernem the following day and heading the group. Pernem's chances, however, will only brighten if Benaulim lose to Morjim. (See standings).
