Dear Goanetters,
Quite a bit has been written about the MHAPSA FEST on the Goanet, not all of
it has been flaterring or true. In the print media, the Mhapsa Fest has
received prominence in the Herald and the Gomantak Times. Navhind Times gave
it a one column x 10 cm. importance. Tarun Bharat did
by the Mapusa police, then that is a 'non est'.

with a cedilla below the 'C']. I have only chosen an appropriate name for a
festival. If a Moidekar like Floriano prefers to be called a Moirakar, it is
his problem. I am a Mhapsekar and I like to celebrate

I join in congratulating Miguel Braganza and the other organisers of the
'Mhapsa fest' By all accounts it was a great success. Wish I was there!
However, in my humble opinion, Miguel's halo has become a little tarnished
since he wrote:

At the Mhapsa Fest 13th to 15th February, 2004 --- at
Altinho Mapusa beyond the precincts of the Mhapsa
Court. There are Portuguese era houses which are a
cynosure of all eyes. This quite surroundings is
witness to the three day extravaganza of Art and

When the tide is rising and the water is gushing though the sluice gates,
the rush of water is music to the ears. It is the same when the loved one
approaches and adrenalin begins to pump into the blood stream. The
experience of putting together the MHAPSA FEST has been no different.
