As reported by *Diário Digital / Lusa*, 27/04/2005 only 3 out of every 10 Portuguese utilize the net. This is seen as an indicator of a society still making a slow transition to the fast emerging cyberworld. Announcing the presentation of a research study on this theme on coming Thursday in Lisbon, it promises to reveal that 29% of the Portuguese are direct internet users, while 10% are making their first contacts with computer technology. The great majority however consists of non-users of Internet.
