I just had to flog this horse back to life! I do not know how valid this information is, the email addresses are several years old. the text is taken from the website: http://www.goa-world.com/books/konkani.htm
For those speakers and fans of Konkani, there's a good book just out. Mukhamvaram/Movllam is labelled (by its publishers) a "rare book in Konkani" and brings across traditional sayings, proverbs, idioms, colloquial sentences, popular quotes, indirect hints etc. It is compiled by J.B.Sequeira of Mangalore, and is printed in three major Konkani scripts -- Kannada, Nagari and Romi. Unfortunately there's no English translation, so you need to know at least one of these scripts (or a little Konkani) to follow it. --Fred. PS: It is published by Konkani Prakashanalaya, 4 Zainab Villa, 362 Senapati Bapat Marg, Matunga West, Bombay 16. Ph 437 2357, 648 7924. agnelo __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
