Dear Joel,
Though we've never met, I read your news flashes from Goa every day, and have been for several years. Thanks to you, I'm better informed about what's going on in Goa than I am about Boston, Mass. which is only 16 miles away ! So, though we haven't met, as I said, at least I value your existence ! That's why I'd like to offer my condolences on the death of your mother. I lost my parents long back. My mother died in 1971, when I was still in my twenties and though it has been so many years, I still miss her and I regret that I could not have had her in the world for more years. We can't get over it, it's only that the pain grows dimmer with time. I wish that God will give you strength.

Dear Netters,

My mother, Conceicao Maria D'Souza, expired peacefully at 1.30 am this
morning (November 5, 2004). She is the wife of late Theofilo D'Souza
(Ex-Eldoret, Kenya); mother of late Especiosa, Joel (Joseph)/Lena Dias
(Ex-Mombassa), Maria/Salvador Mascarenhas (Corjuem), Anne/Romanus Lobo
(Pune/Siolim); grandmother of Sharon/Melwyn Gonsalves (Dubai),
Selima/Francis Pereira (Vagator), Roussel, Michael, Clive, Aloma, Ralph and
Carl; great-grandmother of Daniel (Dubai) and Crisel (Vagator). The funeral
cortege will leave the residence at Assagao at 4.30 pm today (November 5,
2004) for the church of St Cajetan, Assagao.
