(Cyril Fernandes in GT) SOCORRO ARTIST PASSES AWAY: Galdino D'Souza, a resident of Maina-Socorro, passed away peacefully on December 7 at the age of 81. Galdino, who has his paintings distributed widely in Goa and other countries, took up painting after his retirement. His specialty was the painting of local earthen pots.
