In Goa , it is "Yes Chief Minister" . There is a big line behind Manohar Parrikar, one wanting to say it before the other. And the Goan PRESS has the loudest voice, as has been shown on the 'National Press Day' celebrations in Panjim (Nova Goa ) And I do not blame editors like Mr. Arun Sinha and Mr. Robin Abreu. They are dragged by compulsions of their respective owners who would want bigger tongues growing into their mouths so that they could lap up instead of plain licking.

Srinivas Dempo! Rahul Fernandes! are you guys listening? Times are
catching up with you two when you will have to run. So keep the good
physique so that your tongues do not hang out like the dog's do, after a good chase.

Floriano, As a reader have you done your duty in reminding the newspapers that citizens have expectations of them to tell the story as it is? The problem with the press -- here, more than elsewhere, perhaps -- is that while a whole lot of lobbies are active in applying pressures on it, the average reader is silent, voiceless and prefers to just take what comes.

I don't think the people you mention above are necessarily reading Goanet. You could begin by mailing your views direct to them. FN
