I wonder if you can help me. I have inherited a shop in Goa - the shop was rented (actually it was a garage)since 1998-1999 and used as a shop. the tenant has not paid rent for more than 3 years. Is there a way I can get the shop back. I do have an attorney and the case has been going on since the beginning of 2003 (almost 22 months). I thought and I read on the Goa website that if the tenant does not pay rent the rent controller can ask the tenant to vacate the premises. I would appreciate if you can give me any advice. thanks Marie
